Combe St Nicholas Reserves 0-0 Barrington Firsts
COMBE St Nicholas Reserves put in a strong showing to earn a draw in their match against Barrington after having not played for over a month.
The match ended 0-0 and it was a tough battle throughout as both sides went in full blooded in their efforts and tackles and an even first half ended goalless with chances few and far between.
In the second half, Combe were playing up the hill and played some really nice football while still being strong in the tackle; Rhys Jurado pre-empting the attacks and putting some great tackles in and Charlie McManus back from injury looked lively on the break when introduced.
Cody Weller moved up front from the wing and got in behind on a couple of occasions from some good through balls from Josh Salisbury and on another day could have scored a couple, but on this occasion the keeper pulled off some good saves.
The game finished 0-0 and Combe were delighted to get that first point on the board in what's been a difficult season.
Manager Lewis Perry couldn't fault the boys effort and work rate throughout the game and felt they deserved the full three points.
