Somerset Division One: Combe St Nicholas 0-5 Peasedown Miners Welfare

COMBE St Nicholas FC First team were well beaten at the weekend in the Uhlsport Somerset County Division One.

They lost 0-5 at home against Peasedown Miners Welfare in what was a one-sided affair.

The visitors were in control from start to finish in the match and the scoreline reflected that.

Combe did create a handful of chances but they were unable to convert these and Peasedown were clinical in front of goal.

Max Rogers scored twice for Peasedown Miners, while Scott Baker, Lewis Wheeler and Joe Gurney scored a goal a piece.

The result sees Combe drop down into the relegation places once again however it is close at the bottom end of the table.

Currently Combe are in 13th place on seven points from their opening 14 fixtures while above them and safe from the drop is Westfield on 11 points.
