TWENTY seven members of the senior section of Cricket St Thomas Golf club entered the Bowmaker tournament on Monday.

The team led by Doug Oliver secured the win with a total of 83 points, two points better than Bran Marsh's team in second place.

On Wednesday, the seniors held their annual Jubilee Salver event which took the format of a three man Texas Scramble.

In what was to be a tight finish, with only 2 shots separating the top ten finishes, the trio of Barrie Heath, Keith hunt and Doug Oliver were the declared winners with a score of net 55.

Runners up were Dave Mugridge, Mark Cording & Roger Hinds with 56.

The Saints match team travelled to Brean on Thursday, and were unfortunate enough to come across a strong opposition on a tough course in inclement weather. Despite a fine win by Chris Gingell & Derek gardener, the Saints lost by 5 - 1.

The Seniors finished their week on Friday with an individual stableford competition  with 42 golfers taking part.

In Division 1, Roger Stone came first with 43 points. Dave Mugridge was second with the same score but an inferior back 9.

In Division 2, the winner was David Asquith with 40 points, three more than second placed Bob Rees.

Clive Fisk was successful in Division 3 with 40 points. Brian Marsh was runner up, also with 40 points, but an inferior back 9.
