HARLEQUINS clinched the Milford and Dormor league at Chard BC with a 17-6 victory over nearest rivals Royals.
Royals needed to win to stand any chance of catching their opponents but Harlequins dominated throughout.
They went ahead from the first end, and never looked like being caught.
Both sides played good shots, but Harlequins kept getting in to take the end or making it difficult for Royals to get near the jack. Third-placed Magpies have four more games to play, and still have an outside chance of overtaking Royals as the two teams still have to play each other twice.
