SOUTH Somerset District Council has once again awarded all B road resurfacing work to Mr Keilly and his boys.
So once again, we have to put up with a sea of filthy grey grit and dust as this firm has no road rollers and no road sweepers.
The last time the council appointed this firm, we had a couple of hot days and the lick of bitumen they used to hold the grit down melted and we were left with a God awful mess as the road surface was redistributed onto people’s shoe’s tyres and carpets.
I am reminded of that episode of Fawlty Towers where Sybil goes away for a few days leaving Mr Stubbs to do a few building jobs, Basil calls in the considerably cheaper Mr O’Reilly and we all remember the outcome.
