PUPILS at a primary school in Ilminster “turned the school into a wave of red” to raise funds for a charity.
Herne View Primary School, which was also joined by Apple Orchard Pre School, raised over £200 for Comic Relief.
Schoolchildren dressed in red to mark the occasion and support the charity.
Children and staff at Herne View Primary and Apple Orchard Pre School in Ilminster joined in the fun for Comic Relief by turning the school into a wave of red and donning some odd socks to raise over £200 for the charity this last week.
The charity works with several organisations and also runs Red Nose Day.
Last year Comic Relief raised £35,310,407.
A message on the charity’s website read: “We support local community organisations and brilliant change-makers here in the UK and across the globe.
“Your donations help us fill the shelves of baby banks, and community food centres, fund vital community-led services like health workers, local youth safe spaces, and ensure safe passage for people escaping danger.”
