AN Ilminster motorist caught driving while disqualified in Street has been jailed after breaching a court order.

Morgan Kingsley Freeman, 25, of Ile Court, Ilminster, appeared at Taunton Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, March 6, for failing to comply with the requirements of a community order.

The court hard the order had been imposed by Yeovil's South Somerset Magistrates' Court last August and that Freeman had failed to attend appointments as directed.

The Taunton bench revoked the community order and sentenced him for the original offence of driving while disqualified in Gravenchon Way, Street, last April.

Freeman was jailed for eight weeks for "wilful and persistent failure to comply with the requirements of a community order because the defendant has a flagrant disregard for court orders".
