HERNE View Primary School pupils in Ilminster took to the playground in a pancake flip challenge to raise funds for the PTA (Parent Teacher Association).

In this annual event, pupils are sponsored for the number of flips they can manage in a set time and thanks went to the Year 5 pupils for supporting with their counting skills and helping each of the other classes with their challenges.

Chard & Ilminster News:

This event, alongside the Summer Fair, is one of the main fundraisers for the PTA, which supported playground development in recent years, external reading areas, and purchased new library furniture and reading books for the school.

The PTA is also responsible for running the swimming pool at Silver St which will be opening again to the public at Easter, so fundraising is very important for them the PTA wants to thank all the families of the children for sponsoring this event and the help from Tesco for the pancakes.
