MOTORISTS are being informed of a change of road closure times during resurfacing work in Crewkerne next week.
Somerset Council now says the work between the A356 South Street and Station Road will take place over three evenings from Monday to Wednesday (August 14 to 16).
The road will need to be closed to traffic between 6.30pm and 11pm each day. The previously advertised road closure time of 9.30am to 3.30pm is incorrect.
Cllr Mike Rigby, Somerset Council’s executive lead member for transport and digital said: “This section of Station Road is in need of repair.
“Doing the work in the summer holidays under an evening closure gives us the best chance of completing this work safely and efficiently, but please plan ahead as there could be short-term disruption.”
Access for residents and businesses in the immediate area will be maintained throughout and a diversion will be in place.
