AN EVENT that celebrates cultural diversity in Chard will take place this weekend.

Chard Together, on Saturday, March 9, will feature art, music, dance, and cuisine from around the world.

The free event promises to be a mesmerizing fusion of art, music, dance, and delectable cuisine from various corners of the globe, with a theme of dragons around the world.

Chard Together will take place on March 9 at the Guildhall from 10.30am to 3.30pm

What to expect

• Art and Craft Workshops: Unleash your creativity with a range of art and craft workshops where you can learn to create stunning dragon-themed artworks.

• Dance and Music Performances: Immerse yourself in the rhythmic beats and enchanting melodies of traditional music and dance performances from different cultures.

• Culinary Delights: Indulge your taste buds with a mouth-watering array of dishes from around the world. From spicy Asian delicacies to savory European treats, there’s something to satisfy every palate.

• Chard is going on a Dragon Egg Hunt. 17 dragon eggs have been beautifully decorated by local schools, charities, organisations, and businesses and placed around Chard.

It is free to take part. Forms will be available from Chard Leisure Centre, Chard Library, and Barron's from the 2nd of March. Each egg has been numbered.

All you need to do is put the correct number to the location on the form.

Completed forms are to be returned to the Guildhall by 11am on the 9th of March and be entered into a prize draw.

• Fantastical Dragon Creation Competition: Let your imagination soar in our ‘Fantastical Dragon Creation Competition.’ Whether you prefer majestic firebreathers or friendly, whimsical creatures, show off your artistic skills and compete for fantastic prizes.

• Mask Decoration: Get hands-on and decorate your mask inspired by the mystique of dragons.
