A CHARITY has launched an online fundraiser to provide schoolchildren in Chard with extra equipment.

The FMCA (Friends of Manor Court Association) is raising money for the Children at Manor Court School.

The funds will go towards special experiences and extra equipment for the Children of Manor Court School and Early Years Centre.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “We are in need of somewhere to store our fundraising equipment.

“The FMCA has been given the green light to have a shed erected next to the PE shed on the KS1 playground, the benefits of having this invaluable space would make packing away much easier.

“It would mean after events all of our stock can be put away and everything we have to help us raise money for the school could be stored in one place, this would also reduce disruption to classes.

We have set up a Just Giving page to help us raise money for this as we feel it should not take away from what we have raised for the children.

“We are always looking for new members to join the FMCA so if you have a child at Manor Court and have time to spare please get in contact: contactfmca@gmail.com

“This will require a DBS check which is carried out by the school.

“Any donations raised above our target will go to The Friends of Manor Court Association for extra equipment and experiences for the children.”
