AN ANIMAL sanctuary is launching a series of activities and adventures as it faces “a challenging fundraising year”.

Ferne Animal Sanctuary is supporting a cluster of fun and adventure activities this spring in a bid to raise awareness and support for the work carried out to support its animals.

Chard & Ilminster News:

A spokesperson said: “Ferne Animal Sanctuary is facing a challenging fundraising year.

"Immediately feed and energy prices are still at an all-time high, at a time when the cost of caring for animals has increased significantly through the winter months.

“Meanwhile, the cost-of-living crisis in the human world continues to put pressure on local communities, and general household budgets, forcing many supporters of charities to lower their support out of necessity to keep household bills paid.

“In a bid to raise awareness and support for its work, the sanctuary is trying to engage with fun community focussed activities.”
