COTLEY Point to Point Racing returned this year with a very exciting and action-packed card of events.
Held on Sunday, March 24 at Cotley race course, a large crowd turned out to watch the races, enjoy the sunshine and catch up with people in the racing community.
The highlight of the event though was of course the exciting Shetland Pony Race which took place at 12noon.
A spokesperson from Cotley Point to Point said: "We are fundraising for St Margaret’s Hospice through 'owner' sponsorship of the ponies entered.
"A thrilling afternoon followed with the next race at 1 pm and last race at 3.55 pm.
"The day was ideal for families as we had children’s’ bungee jumping, bookies, trade stands, and a fabulous view of the course and there was live music in the catering tent to round off the day."
From all reports it was a great day out in the countryside where people came together to enjoy the sport and to socialise.
