A COUNCILLOR is inviting residents in Yeovil to donate to a family hub “helping restore dignity to homeless people”.
The Gateway in Yeovil does a tremendous amount to help the people of Yeovil, but they need our help.
The Yeovil Liberal Democrats are urging people to contribute to a collection of new socks and underpants (both men’s and women’s) to the Gateway.
These will be provided to those coming to the Gateway in need of food and hygiene facilities.
Adam Dance, Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Yeovil, and councillor for South Petherton and Islemoor, said: “Let’s help the Gateway provide for our homeless community and restore some comfort to their tough lives.
“I cannot find them homes but I can help find them a degree of dignity.
“If you have any unwanted Christmas sock gifts or preferably if you can add a pack of socks or underpants when you next go shopping, these can be delivered to one of our collection points any time through March.”
The collections points are:
· Yeovil Art Space Quedam Centre Yeovil BA20 1EU
· Bilby's Cafe 6 Market Street Crewkerne TA18 7JY
· Maybe Delilah 5 St James' Street South Petherton TA13 5BS
