THE A358 along Furnham Road in Chard has been closed following a crash.
The road between the Glynswood junction and the Thorndun Park Drive junction has been closed in both directions after a two-car crash.
One man has been taken to hospital following the crash.
Fire engines from Chard and Axminster arrive to find one person was trapped within a vehicle.
Fire crews used hydraulic cutting equipment and small tools to release him.
A spokesperson from Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance said: "Devon Air Ambulance was called as Dorset and Somerset were tasked with another job.
"Although it was called, it is believed that the man was driven to hospital in a land ambulance."
