TWO vehicles have been damaged in an accidental fire in Martock.

Fire crews were called to reports of a vehicle on fire in Vincent Way at 1.53am this morning.

One engine from Martock attended and found the vehicle well alight, so a second engine was called from Yeovil.

Crews got to work using one hose reel jet, two breathing apparatus and one main jet.

The fire was extinguished at 2.21am, and fire crews and confirmed two cars received 80 per cent damage by fire and the second vehicle 30 per cent damaged by fire.

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.

Crews carried out a check of the adjacent property and garage with a thermal image camera checking for heat damage.
