HOLYROOD Academy’s newest recruit to its equestrian team, Jess Withers, won the day during a one-day event at Blundells.
The Chard-based equestrian team competed at the Blundells event on September 25, 2015, and the team of Sasha Taylor on Crackerjack, Louise Ingham on Bam, and new member Jess on Little Big Man II competed in the dressage, show jumping and cross country events.
The outstanding performance of the day came from Jess. She was in third place in her class after the dressage, she then went clear with no time penalties in the show jumping and also the cross country elements to give Holyrood Academy its first win at an equestrian event!
Team manager Chris Taylor said: "It was a fantastic day and the girls worked really hard, I am especially delighted for Jess achieving the first win for a member of the Academy team."
