THERE was plenty of fun to be had at the Chard Reservoir Local Nature Reserve earlier this month with a day of activities.
A countryside day was held at the reservoir site – owned by South Somerset District Council – and lots of people, including families, attended.
With lovely woodland walks with watery views and meadows alive with insects and flowers, this month is always a great time to explore the reserve and all it offers.
The countryside ranger team – led by Tim Brown – was on site with lots of free family activities including bug hunting, pond dipping, face painting, forest school activities and wood turning.
