PANTO lovers packed the village hall in Tatworth last week for Jack and The Beanstalk.
Tatworth Amateur Dramatic Society played out to an impeccably behaved crowd after some concern was raised over the possibility of tit-for-tat heckling from Chard Amateur Theatrical Society.
TAPS secretary Sheila Harding said they were “very pleased” with the support from the audience and there was “no heckling whatsoever”.
Reviewer Dave Walsham said: “The cast in this show was very strong, full of energy and commitment from the word go.
“All the principal actors are well experienced and really played to the audience – the stand-out for me was Grant Davies as Dame Trott.
“The show was smoothly directed by Kelly Foote and Kevin Rogers. Looking at the programme it’s very impressive how much multi-tasking goes on.
“Involving children is essential, and it was great to see how much they enjoyed it.
“They had very good audiences and I imagine the show was well appreciated.”
