AN INTREPID explorer from Ilminster has completed a walk on the Great Wall of China to raise money for a cause close to her heart.
Emilee Rolls, a former Swanmead pupil, looks after elderly people for Somerset Care and chose to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Her great-uncle suffered from Alzheimer’s. Emilee said: “We covered 90 miles in six days and although it was physically demanding it was also the most amazing, rewarding and emotional thing I’ve ever done.
“I’ve raised £4,041 and I would like to thank my family, friends and all of the local businesses who supported me.”
